1.       Placing an Order

1.1.   Our products are categorized their specific features. This is to help simplify your selection.  If you wish to choose a product, click on the “add to cart” icon and your order will automatically be reserved for you.  Please note that the reservation is subject to a time limit i.e. (when your account is active), and your shopping session may expire if there is any inactivity in your account.

1.1.2. Once you have completed your selection, and you are happy with your choices in your cart, you can click on the “check out” icon.  Here, you will need to fill out your personal details, delivery details, and payment details (VISA, MASTER CARD, and PAYPAL)this will complete the process of your online shopping.

1.1.3. A confirmation email will be sent to you to verify that your online shopping is successful and that your orders are being prepared for shipment. A delivery tracking number will also be sent to your email within 48 hours from issue of a tax receipt.

1.1.4. Attached to your parcel will be an official tax invoice receipt.

1.1.5 Pre-order allows you to order an item through our website in advance when the product is out of stock. Payment is required at the time of placing a pre-order. 

2.         Delivery Information

2.1.   Shipping Fee

2.1.1. Shipping fee may vary depending on the conditions of purchase during the time of transaction. 

2.2.   Delivery Lead Time

2.2.1. For orders within metropolitan areas of Sydney, Brisbane,Adelaide, Perth, and Melbourne, delivery lead time is approximately within 2-15 business days from the date of purchase.

2.2.2. For orders outside of the aforementioned metropolitan areas,delivery lead time is approximately within 5-20 business days.

2.2.3. In case of weather disturbances and other unforeseen events,delivery lead times may change, but your tracking information will keep you updated with the location and status of your order.

2.2.4. We do not provide express delivery services and we do not guarantee delivery times on a specific date.

2.2.5. For special orders, delivery lead time may vary depending on the availability of the goods ordered i.e. delivery of Fanimation & Emerson(designer fans) may vary depending on its availability.

2.3.   Safe Deliveries and Insurances

2.3.1. We offer insurance to ensure that your purchases will arrive in the proper location securely and in good condition as accidents can happen.

2.3.2. The insurance cost is automatically debited from your account before finalizing the purchase.  This will cover for loss or damage during shipping. For insured items, we will fix and/or replace products for you, and claims may be settled through contacting us no later than 20 days from receipt of goods.

2.3.3. If you do not wish to take out insurance, you can simply unselect this option before finalizing the payment of your transaction. 

2.3.4. We suggest that an alternative delivery instruction be provided to ensure safety of products if no one is available at home to receive it from the courier company.  We will not be liable for extra courier charges.

2.4.   Location and Coverage Area

2.4.1.  FansOnSale deliver products across areas of Australia that are within coverage of Australia Post.

2.4.2.  Because we are an online company, we do not allow pick-ups, but we try to ensure that your goods are shipped on time and in good condition.

2.4.3.  FansOnSale offers free shipping for most orders with a total sum greater than $200 (in AUD and including GST) and will apply to the majority of capital cities and metropolitan areas in Australia. Unfortunately freight to Northern Territory, Western Australia and Queensland may incur extra charges due to the limitations of our courier standard shipping.

2.4.4.  Free shipping may not apply to regional and country orders, special orders (including arranged bulk purchases) and large item/bulky orders. We reserve the right to alter the locations eligible for free shipping and to charge for freight in the unlikely case where shipping and handling fees are higher than normal.

2.4.5.  If you would like to check beforehand if you are eligible for free shipping you may use the shipping calculator once items have been added to your cart. Otherwise feel free to contact us and send us your address, postcode and items you wish to purchase and we will calculate the freight.

 

3.         Warranty and Returns

3.1.   Manufacturing Warranty

3.1.1.  All products are covered with manufacturing warranties. Warranties vary depending on the brand and category of the product purchased.  To know the duration of the warranty, you can normally locate them in the packaging of the product. In some cases there are warranty forms and instructions included in the box.

3.1.2.  Electrical Products, such as ceiling fans and light fittings, must be installed by a licensed, qualified electrician.   A non-licensed individual cannot install an electrical product. Failure to comply will void the warranty and is potentially dangerous to yourself and others.

3.1.3.  To know more about warranties for faulty products, please call the hotline of the manufacturing company or refer to the manufacturer’s website.

3.1.4. Free gifts and items listed on your invoice with a $0.00 value are not covered under warranty, but may need to be shipped back to us with their accompanying products in returns cases involving refunds and store credits. When a free gift is supplied as a part of a promotion with a minimum-spend value, a return which reduces the value of the order below that threshold will require the free gift to come back as well. In the event a free gift can not be returned, a cash refund will not be made available.

3.2.   Warranty Requirements

3.2.1.  As soon as you take delivery of your item/s please check if it matches your invoice.

3.2.2.  It is essential that you keep your invoice and as proof of, and date of purchase for the manufacturer’s warranty.

3.2.3.  If you need any assistance with completing your requirements for warranty eg a lost receipt,email us with your request. Please include your name, address and telephone number and the invoice/order number for the product so we can assist you with this.

3.2.4.  It is also essential that you obtain and keep the Certificate of Compliance from the licensed electrician who installed the product/s. For you to claim anything in the warranty period,this will be required by the manufacturer. It is best that you keep all documents in relation to your product/s from purchase to installation.  This will simplify the process of your warranty claim.

3.2.5.  All our products have a manufacturer’s warranty. This is usually provided by the manufacturer in the packaging in which it is delivered. You can also check the warranty conditions on the manufacturer’s website. Some warranty information is also included on the FansOnSale’s website.

3.2.6.  Most of our products are covered by ‘in-home’ warranties. This means that the manufacturer is responsible for the cost of rectifying any faults with the product once it is installed. In most cases, this also covers the cost of an electrician to complete the work. Please refer to the terms and conditions of the manufacturer’s warranty.

3.2.7.  If the product is faulty after it is installed, please use the details provided by the manufacturer’s   warranty to contact the warranty department.

 

4.         Returns Policy

4.1.   It is important when placing an order that you select the right product e.g. size, colour, purpose etc.because under Australian Consumer Law you don’t have the right to return a product if there is no breach of consumer guarantee. Under this law, a business only has to refund, exchange or repair the product if there is something wrong e.g.it is faulty, doesn’t match the description. It does NOT include changing your mind, finding a cheaper product elsewhere, damaging the product by misusing it,ordering the wrong product or using the product for a long time so that it deteriorates because of usual wear and tear. Please refer to the Consumer and Business Services website of South Australia http://www.cbs.sa.gov.au/

4.2. It is important to note that we cannot accept returns based on delivery times as this falls under change of mind. That is, we will not issue a return and credit if the product did not arrive by your desired date. Delivery times provided by us or the parcel tracking are there only as a guide (often provided by Australia Post) and must only be used as an estimated guid and not a definite delivery date. These delivery estimates may vary depending on factors out of our control (such as but not limited to public holidays, weather conditions, post abilities). It is your responsibility to make sure you allow enough time for your purchased products to arrive, this includes both processing and packing time and delivery time.

4.3.   Nevertheless, in some cases FansOnSale allows returns within 20 days from the day of purchase (refer to the date when your invoice was issued). Any approved returns may be credited to you; this will be done by issuing a store credit that you can use on your purchase only at FansOnSale. The store credit will be either directly added to your FansOnSale account with us or via a FansOnSale voucher which can be used at the checkout. A credit may be given under the following conditions:  

4.3.1.  The product/s need to be received at FansOnSale’s warehouse within 20 days of the date on the original invoice. Products received after this time will NOT be eligible for any credit. ALL costs associated with their return MUST be met by the purchaser.

4.3.2.  The product/s should be returned in its original packaging, unopened, unused and in new, saleable condition. 

4.3.3.  The cost of returning the product is met by the purchaser or otherwise will be deducted from any approved credit.

4.3.4.  A flat fee of $50.00 will be deducted from any approved credit. This covers the administrative costs incurred by FansOnSale.

4.3.5.  The goods will be checked by our team to ensure they have been returned in the condition as stated above.

4.3.6.  If you are ineligible for a credit, the goods will be returned to you at your cost.  This needs to be paid before the goods are returned to you.

4.3.7.  If you are eligible for an approved credit it will be valid for 6 months from the date it was issued. It will be either credited to your online FansOnSale account with us or via a FansOnSale voucher that we will issue to you.

4.3.8.  FansOnSale reserves the right to decide when an approved credit will apply.

5.         Privacy Policy

5.1.   FansOnSale’s Privacy Policy is based on the Australian Government Privacy Act.

5.2.   We assure you that your credit card details will not be stored on our web-servers.  

5.3.   Personal Information

5.3.3. We use secure merchant services such as Bendigo eGate and PayPal. All your personal payment information is transferred to these merchant gateways securely and to which we have no access. Therefore, we do not store the credit card details you use while on our website. Please see the relevant Privacy Policy of the company you choose to manage your payment if you require this information.

5.4.   Protection and Disclosure of Personal Information

5.4.1. At FansOnSale we are committed to ensuring that your personal information is stored in a secure environment protected from unauthorized access, modification and/or disclosure.

5.4.2. Your personal information will be kept private and will not be transferrable to any third party, individual and/or company, government agencies and/or subsidiaries, except when required by law.

5.4.3. In the event that such disclosure is necessary to help us operate our business and/or provide a service to you, we will follow our strict Privacy Policy in handling your personal information.  If third party entities (contractors or service providers) are engaged, we will require those organizations to comply with the Australian Government Privacy Act.

5.4.4. Information about your order is stored securely on our server in our accounting software.  It will not be available to another third party unless such details are required to complete your order e.g. courier or supplier, who we will also require to comply with the Australian Government Privacy Act.

6.1.   The website contains pictures and information of products based on product labels, brochures, and packaging.  Such information and specifications will only help in finding what you need, but will not replace professional advice.

6.2.   FansOnSale is an online store, thus allowances should be made when considering items in terms of pictures, product colours, appearances and designs.  This applies to all product ranges from fans to lighting.

6.3.   Your name and email address are required in our online shopping application.  We will keep you updated with our new products and promotions through update reports sent via email unless your request not to receive these.

6.4.   We accept VISA, MASTERCARD and PayPal for online shopping payment.


7.         General Terms and Conditions 

7.1.    FansOnSale reserves the right to vary the terms and conditions of the offer at its reasonable discretion by publishing revised terms on fansonsale.com.au.

7.2.    FansOnSale reserves the right to disallow or reverse a discount in circumstances where it believes a sale or purchase of any item as part of this sale has not been made in good faith.  This includes any collusive conduct by buyers or sellers or any other conduct which FansOnSale considers unfair or untoward.

7.3.    Using coupon code requires payment with a Credit Card or Australian PayPal account in order to take effect.

7.4.    To redeem a coupon code offer during the Offer Period, enter the coupon code into the redemption code box in the shopping cart during the checkout process.

7.5.    All offers are valid while stock lasts.

7.6.    To the extent permitted by law, FansOnSale will not be responsible for any loss incurred by you in redeeming or attempting to redeem the offer or for any costs, damages, accident, delay, injury, loss, expense, or inconvenience that may arise in connection with the use of the offer.
